Venue of Training
The training sessions were conducted at Agricultural Extension Building of GTI, BAU, Mymensingh. Since it is a residential training, all participants are bound to stay at GTI dormitory which is equiped with good facilities. All classes and practices were conducted in a well-furnished Lecture Room and a Computer Lab.
History of GTI Foundation Training for University Teachers
Since 1995, BAU is organizing Foundation Training for its newly recruited teachers in an effort to increase their teaching and research capabilities.
Welcome to the website of the participants of GTI 5th FTUT!
As a part of Module II on "COMPUTER LITERACY and ICT" of our Foundation Training for University Teachers (FTUT) at Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh, Bangladesh, couple of our participants wanted to make a Webpage which will present some glimps of our experiences at this excellent training arranged by BAU funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Nineteen university teachers (Lecturer and Assistant Professors) from 8 different public universities of Bangladesh including Dhaka University, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Islamic University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Noakhali Science & Technology University and Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University participated in this training, and we wish to share our experiences, thoughts and our news & views in this website.

This activity caught attention of the UGC, and they requested other public universities to start such programs for their respective recruited teachers. Due to various technical difficulties, other universities could not start such program, while BAU was continuing its Foundation Training for its own teachers using its internal budget. UGC then showed interest to fund this program, and requested BAU to train young university teachers of other public universities. BAU then included teachers from other public universities, and now the 5th batch of FTUT is running at GTI, BAU.
