GTI 5th FOUNDATION TRAINING FOR UNIVERSITY TEACHERS
Training Period: May 10-July 2, 2009
Different Modules of GTI 5th FTUT!
The training program consisted to 6 different Modules (Module 1-6). Module titles are as follows:
- Module 1: Teaching methods & techniques,
- Module 2: Research and project cycle management
- Module 3: Scientific report writing
- Module 4: Computer literacy & ICT
- Module 5: Statistical methods & data analysis
- Module 6: Office management
- Module 7: Global and development issues
- Module 8: Physical conditioning and car driving
Some salient features of the Modules are mentioned below.
Module 1: Teaching Methods and Techniques
The purpose of this module is to make the participants skilled in preparation of lesson plan, use of teaching methods, techniques and aids, and in assessment & evaluation of learning & teaching.
Module 4: Computer Literacy and ICT
The purpose of this module is to make the participants skilled in preparation of own web page
Module 5: Statistical Methods and Data Analysis
The purpose of this module is to make the participants skilled in using statistical methods, tests , tools and data analysis techniques (MSTATC & SPSS) and in interpretation of data for drawing inference.

Module 2: Research and Project Cycle Management
The purpose of this module is aimed to make the participants familiar with the purpose and the basic principles of conducting research, and to enhance up their capacity to prepare technical project proposal (TPP).
Module 3: Scientific Report Writing
The purpose of this module is to enable the participants to write, analyze, review, examine, and assist the graduate students in writing scientific reports of international standard.
Module 6: Administration and Office Management
Purpose : To acquaint the participants with different administrative and office management functions and procedures, so that they can apply these techniques in discharge of their duties and responsibilities in the future.
Module 7: Global and Development issues
The purpose is to make the participants aware about the global developments and natural resources of Bangladesh, and to equip them with necessary knowledge on good governance, civil and land laws, warrant of precedence so that they become qualified enough to utilize this knowledge whenever necessary.
Module 8: Physical conditioning and car driving
The purpose is to make the participants aware about their health and physical condition. Also it is aimed to enable the participants to drive automobiles/cars when required.
